The POWER method — structure every prompt
P · O · W · E · R
PPersona — Give the AI a role and expertise. "You are a senior FMCG brand director."
OObjective — State the exact result you want. "Draft a follow-up email to a retail category manager."
WWhat / Context — Give the background, the source material, the audience and the constraints. "Context: Q1 listing review with a Benelux retailer; use the attached brief; keep it under 120 words."
EExamples — Show a model to follow or a counter-example. "Match the tone of this email I sent before…"
RRefinement — Iterate. "Shorten paragraph 2, add a clear call to action, give me 2 variants."

Rule of thumb: P + O + W are enough for a simple prompt. Add E and R when you need precision or the first answer falls short.

Quick tips
Be specific — The sharper the prompt, the better the answer. Avoid vague questions.
Break it down — A complex request = several prompts in sequence. Step by step.
Ground it in your work — Use "/" to reference a file, person, meeting or email (Context IQ).
Let it do the whole task — For multi-step work, use Agent Mode (Word/Excel/PPT) or Cowork.
Keep a prompt library — Save your best prompts to reuse them across the team.
Stay inside the tenant — Ferrero data belongs in Microsoft 365 Copilot, never in public ChatGPT.
